Friday was the grand opening ceremony for Jars, a dessert shop starting its corporate life opening in the Bay Street Shopping center. Emery was invited and showed up in style. The Spartan Performance band the Jazz Band played a tight seven song set and roused the crowd of shoppers and center employees to stop what they were doing to groove. Mr. Salvatore’s group looked polished and sounded great, a significant accomplishment considering they’ve only had a month to practice and this was a first to play together.
